REHOMING EX RACEHORSES VORTEX (above) was trained by Gay Kelleway at Newmarket, and was rehomed by Heros. He had a very successful racing career and now has a great new home. Many racehorses are less fortunate. If you're thinking of acquiring a horse and are experienced with horses please think about taking on an ex racehorse.
Most are easily retrained, vesatile and adapt to new disciplines. From an early age will have been well handled. Most will have worked on roads, and be well travelled. They will have experienced a lot more than other horses of the same age.Below are links to help and get you started, with lots of advice and information.
